Happy Monday everyone! Be blessed throughout this whole week =)
John 12:25-26 25The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Oh the troubles of a hectic life! From the second you open your eyes in the morning, thoughts of what need to be accomplished for the day, the week, and even the month, come flooding into your mind. You are both anxious and hesitant to begin a list of never ending tasks. Sound familiar? There is no question that the lives we live today are demanding; being a full time student who works part time, a full time student while being a parent, or even being in full time ministry while juggling what life throws at you. Through all of these “duties”, we must never forget one thing; to serve and search for God with our whole being. It is so easy to get caught up and not give God the time he needs in our lives, both to talk to Him, and allowing Him to speak to us. Ironically enough, this can even happen in ministry! We can run around doing “things” for a God with whom we insufficiently communicate. God so desires to hang out with us that His word states, “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. You may ask, with what? With more of Him. You see, the more you rest in God’s presence, the more His spirit, whose fruit is love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control, can develop God’s nature in you. Beginning the day by spending time with The Lord allows you to give God control over the things that, to be honest, you had no control over anyway. Those obstacles that will come to cause you strife, the spirit of The Lord will give you patience to face them. In The moments that will come to try and discourage you from pushing forward, God will give you the peace in knowing He is Sovereign. Trust Him, even with your time! Don’t let life and its pursuits steer you away from a God who yearns to hear from you and order your steps. We give so much of ourselves to a world that just asks for more in return, but if we would emphatically seek after God, we would see how the creator of The Universe longs to give us purpose beyond our wildest dreams. Oh, what a Glorious Honor.
